clp homecourt dip shorty kovas phon.o «The only German word I know is Scheise!!!» Brooklyn based producer, remixer (Timberlake, De La Soul...) and Mc KOVAS hits the point. Shitkatapult´s 101st release honours the Ghetto Beat, a wild mixture of Rap, Hop, Booty Bass, Favela and Techno by CLP (Chris de Luca vs Phon.o) featuring Kovas. Two german producers and one nyc rapper posse up to deliver Homecourt/Dip Shorty as a multi-cultural musical hot pot in order to push the idea behind CLP´s great album Supercontinental to ignore all limits whether locationwise or musicwise. The EP comes with superb remixes by CLP themselves, Housemeister, Bugati Force, Unsportsmanlike and Litwinenko. Kick it, yes you can.

clp supercontinental shorty kovas phon.o CLP (Chris de Luca vs Phon.o) plug into each other for a a killer set of future electro'n'b on Shitkatapult with guest spots from Yo Majesty, tunde Olaniran, White Gold Princess, Rayzaflo and loads more. The styles move light years away from the glitched electro and electronica of previous releases, and plonk themselves squarely in the club world with phat productions cut for the global bass scene with Nu-Era hats tipped to the Timbaland on 'Dip', Diplo or Tittsworth on 'Club Thang' feat Mochipet & Hustle Heads, or the Neptunes on 'Spaceballs'. It's funky and phat and could easily knack a good r'n'b club in. Blong!

Phon.o - Burn Down The Town - Shitkatapult/Tigerbeat6, 2005

phon.o burn down the town shitkatapult strike 64 cover Fire! Phon.o comes up with his first album on Shitkatapult/Tigerbeat6 called Burn Down The Town. He aims nicely and bold into the open body of booty karaoke, in fact, with the help of his versatile taste inventory and speed. This is his own trademark and solidifies his role as a musical heavyweight and sexually confident Eastern German. If the hectic rammer-beats of ghetto-tech are more something for followers of ejaculatio praecox, then the rough stop 'n go patterns of Phon.o are more fit for pleasure-seekers of perverted lags.

Phon.o - Trick Or Treat EP - Shitkatapult Strike 63, 2005

phon.o trick or treat shitkataput strike 63 cover Trick Or Treat is Phon.o and Kevin 'just don't bust my bladder' Blechdom's answer to 50 Cent in the candy shop. This may already be a hit for Halloween, and this song should be mentioned in one breath with the foot stank of Usher, Timbaland and the Neptunes, whereas Kevin Blechdom smells more like Missy Elliott and Destiny's Child. The funk comes from Funkstörung: their remix of Trick Or Treat bears traceable elements of this tolerant music style around the groundwork of Kevin Blechdom. 'Hoes ova Bros' – such rhymes make ghetto-tech drop its underpants, and that's what Busted In Da D is supposed to do. Phon.o twists the words of a white thrash dude from Detroit named Sadik006 who remains unpunished. Big surprise that the beast from San Francisco Kit Clayton himself puts his hands on a remix even though he vowed to never make music again. Apart from having a rarity bonus, this piece is as superior as you can expect it from the most intelligent person in the never ever dying- out world of rave music.
